2018 Scholarship for Higher Education Winners

scholarship winners 2018The law offices of Anderson & Cummings are proud to announce that Claire Perkins and Sophie Hoinoski are the two recipients of our 2018 Scholarship for Higher Education. Each recipient will be awarded $500 toward their college tuition.

Perkins and Hoinoski are recent graduates from Tarrant County Schools where they achieved academic excellence and advocated being an active member in their community. Perkins is a graduate of Byron Nelson High School, and Hoinoski graduated from Colleyville Heritage High School. Both students plan on attending The University of Texas at Austin.

As part of their application process, candidates were asked to write an essay detailing a specific childhood experience that influenced their decision to earn a college education. In her essay, Perkins talked about being an active member of her school’s speech and debate team and volunteering with the Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth. Hoinoski’s essay talked about a family member who was diagnosed with a serious illness.

We chose Perkins and Hoinoski for the 2018 Scholarship for Higher Education because we believe they demonstrate the values and determination needed to succeed in their education, as well as professional careers.

We are honored to provide this scholarship to students in Tarrant County who are devoted to achieving their goals.

Congratulations, Claire Perkins and Sophie Hoinoski!
