ambulance transporting injured personA 36-year-old woman was flown to a Dallas hospital with serious injuries Thursday night Feb. 18 after being pinned under a SUV that crashed through the front of a liquor store in Colleyville.

A 2006 Mazda Tribute went crashing through the front door of Hall’s Wine & Spirits located at the intersection of 4200 Glade Road and Texas 121 around 6:15 p.m.

The woman was pinned under the SUV and remained there for a time until firefighters were able to get to her. She was then transported to Parkland Memorial Hospital in critical condition.

Another woman was also transported to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital H-E-B and was reported to be in stable condition around 8 p.m. that night.

After interviewing the driver of the SUV at the scene of the accident, police reported that it was clear that the 68-year-old man had consumed alcohol before the accident and was intoxicated.

The owner of the store turned over video surveillance of the incident to Colleyville police immediately after the accident. He says that he did not watch the graphic video and was unsure if he would ever be able to.

He said he was sitting in his office at the time of the accident and heard what he said sounded like a loud motor. The video clearly shows the first woman being hit by the SUV as it came crashing through the front of the store.
