GM Makes and Models Affected by the Recall
The first recall issued by GM affected millions of vehicle owners in North America and took place in February, 2014. Subsequent recalls were issued for problems related to the flawed ignition switch, like loss of electrical power, which impacts the effectiveness of airbags and other components.

GM claims no injuries have been associated with the defects related to the March recall, though the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration notes there have been complaints.
