A second round of vehicle recalls was announced in March, 2014 which would affect 1.5 million additional vehicles. The defects in these models included airbag non-deployment, overheating brakes and ineffective material on the instrument panel of certain vans which could fail to protect occupants in a crash.

GM claims no injuries have been associated with the defects related to the March recall, though the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration notes there have been complaints.
