The Stryker Corp. ABG II and Rejuvenate modular hip implant claim enrollment deadline was extended to April 17, 2015. Claims must be filed by 5:00 p.m. EST.
The agreement pays out a base compensation of $300,000. It also provides additional payments up to $600,000 for serious complications, including post-operative infections, the need for additional surgeries, hip dislocations, femur fractures, heart attacks, strokes, lost wages and death.

Unfortunately, the Stryker hip implant devices carried serious risks including reports of unusually high rates of failure.
The defect was linked to metal on metal bearings, which can produce small metallic wear debris or corrosion can take place with the constant movement between the two metal surfaces.
