Authorities from the Dallas Police Dept have released details on a fatal accident that occurred at the intersection of Clark and Camp Wisdom Roads, early on Saturday morning.
According to the report, 16 year old Taurean Babcock of Dallas and his passenger were hit by an intoxicated driver in a Nissan GTR that ran a red light and collided with Mr Babcock’s Mercedes.
The force of the collision resulted in the Nissan then knocking down a utility pole and crashing into a nearby donut shop.
While the Mr. Babcock’s passenger and the suspect and his three passengers were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Mr. Babcock was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Nissan was later charged with intoxication manslaughter and authorities are continuing their investigation.
