Anderson, Cummings & Drawhorn, LLP is pleased to have presented Abbey Coufal with our Scholarship of Academic Excellence.
A Texas native, Coufal is 23-years-old and currently pursuing a law degree at Texas Tech University School of Law. She plans to graduate in May 2018 and pursue a career in the legal field.
She is a graduate of West Texas A&M University where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication. Throughout her undergraduate career, she maintained a 4.0 GPA and was a member of several honor societies and organizations, including maintaining membership on the WTAMU Presidents List throughout her studies.
Coufal, among other qualified students competing for the scholarship, submitted a 500 to 1,500 word essay describing the influences that her childhood experiences had on her decision to continue her education. Students also submitted letters of recommendation from members of their communities.
This young lady has the determination and intelligence to flourish in today’s legal and business world.
Anderson, Cummings & Drawhorn, LLP established the annual $1,500 scholarship as part of our continued commitment to supporting the continued education and development of college students throughout Texas.
